Ethanol Plant

Achieving energy security and transitioning to a thriving low-carbon economy is vital for a growing nation like India. One of the key strategies to meet this goal is the blending of domestically produced ethanol with petrol. This not only enhances India’s energy independence but also creates opportunities for local enterprises and farmers to actively participate in the energy economy, while significantly reducing vehicular emissions.

In support of this initiative, the Government of India is actively promoting the production of fuel-grade ethanol from alternative feedstocks, including maize and surplus rice available with the Food Corporation of India (FCI).

Aligned with this national objective, HGEL is setting up a grain-based ethanol plant with a production capacity of 250 KLPD in Phase I, followed by an additional 150 KLPD in Phase II, leading to a total installed capacity of 400 KLPD upon completion.

The following major type of equipment’s will be installed for the proposed distillery plant.
